Our mission at RUCKFWD(RUCK FORWARD) is to support you in your RUCKING JOURNEY. Always RUCKFWD.
RUCKING is a healthy activity. It gets you outside. It’s scalable. I found RUCKING about a year ago and I haven’t looked back!
I started out slow, and kept it slow. I’ve always had a terrible track record with staying consistent with any exercise routine. I started off using my camera backpack loaded down with gear. It weighed about 20lbs or so. I did one mile for about 3 weeks. Then I got some real weights from GORUCK. I increased the weight to 30lbs, and kept my RUCK distance around a mile.
Then I increased the distance to 2 miles. I was also RUCKING every day. I only missed a day if there was some kind of scheduling issue. I saw GORUCK was doing a virtual RUCK with K9’s United for the Fallen K9’s Memorial Fund about a month or two out. So I decided to do the 5K.
Since then I’ve done 3 more 5K RUCK events. I’ve also increased my weight in my pack. I've increased the distance I go, and I have done some “off-road” RUCKING on some trails. I try to change up my RUCKS to keep it interesting. I love the scalability of this activity.
Keep in mind, I’m a novice at this, and I’m only discussing my journey with RUCKING. Please go and start your RUCKING JOURNEY!

GORUCK is a company I would highly recommend for gear and advice. I’ve bought all of my gear from them.
I would also recommend reading Kayla Girgen CPT, RD, LD book “Ruck Fit”.
I would also recommend Jocko Willink's book "Discipline Equals Freedom". It's a great read and has helped me get more dialed in. I also use JOCKO MÖLK PROTEIN POWDER everyday.
